Interesting that many of the OOP Image titles are currently available as MOD from either Amazon or Something Weird Video. Does this mean Image is transitioning from pressed to MOD like many others?

Keep in mind that there is a reason why he lists the UPC. That specific instance of that title is going out of print. When he lists "True Blood (2008): The Complete 1st Season (Blu-ray)", it's only because HBO has upgraded that Blu-ray release to "True Blood: Season #1 (Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy)". You'll see a lot of references to Movie Cash and Digital Copies, meaning that the Movie Cash copy (with its own UPC) is no longer being sold or the title has been rereleased without the initial Digital Copy.

Some of the discontinued titles will see a new incarnation on Blu. Criterion has been putting out magnificent new versions of discontinued MGM/UA and Paramount titles like The Killing, Kiss Me Deadly, Harold and Maude, and Rosemary's Baby, and an announcement of Fellini's Satyricon and the Qatsi trilogy is expected soon. (And I'm crossing my fingers for Criterion to release Frankenheimer's Seconds)
For most of these films, however, their only hope is a future release on M.O.D. or streaming. Of course, that doesn't mean I plan to run out and pay $35 for a copy of High Fidelity.

MGM and Paramount are the worst, hands down. The good news is you can get High Fidelity used from Amazon marketplace for about 75 cents, heheh.

The list is comprised of mostly single volumes that has been OOP (or consider to be) for quite a while now. A few of those, the license has been picked by someone else. Pretear goes to FUNimation (no release solicited right now). Orpehn Season 1 & 2 goes to Sentai Filmworks.

Is Severin going out of business? That's all of their Blu-rays now OOP. Also, every week brings seemingly another two dozen MGM discontinuations - it seems like they're eliminating their entire catalog to focus just on MOD reprints.

Has there been any news/announcement that MGM is going to be doing MOD versions of their OOP catalog titles? I noticed several of the recently OOP titles are now available to stream on Netflix so thought perhaps they had bought exclusive rights.

MGM has been doing a lot of multi title sets of oop titles and many of these may appear in the future. Or they have been licensing to other companies like the TGG Direct. (The Garr Group)
I highly doubt netflix has anything but a temporary non exclusive license to stream some of their titles as they have with many companies.

I'm curious about Severin too. In July they went from posting on Twitter several times a week to not at all. I guess now is the time to grab Hardware and Inglourious Bastards. When some of the Emmanuel films and Malabimba went OOP they had an announcement and sale so the silence seems strange.
